Unity, the tool used by beginners and expert developers at F2P Campus

September 7, 2022

A new edition of the Games Academy took place on 1, 2 and 3 September at EUNEIZ University. The aim of these workshops is none other than to publicize the creation of video games among young people as a professional outlet.

During these days, Fernando Ruiz CalderΓ³n taught the young inexperienced people how to use the professional tool Unity in order to learn how to create their first levels, mechanics and menus.

Unity consists of a cross-platform game engine developed by Unity Technologies that was released in June 2005. Since then, the engine has been gradually extended to support a variety of mobile, desktop, console and virtual reality platforms. It is particularly popular for iOS and Android mobile game development, ideally used from beginner developers to popular indie game development.Β

The engine is used to make three-dimensional (3D) and two-dimensional (2D) games and interactive simulators too. Moreover, we would like to mention that the engine has been adopted by industries such as film, architecture, automotive, construction and engineering, to name a few.

Finally, we want to emphasize that it has been an absolute success and that there has been full capacity the 3 days. We are looking forward to the next edition to continue learning!
